Move from current premises to Informed Performance Gym

Dear Member,

By now you’ll have heard that the classes will be moving from the current premises to another, larger and improved facility.  I am pleased to announce the schedule for this move below.

The new premises are located at Unit 5, Tolka Business Park, just off the Ballyboggan Road.  This is about 3 minutes walk towards Glasnevin from the current location.    This is an exciting move for us and is a great opportunity to expand the operations and timetable.  With that in mind, a new timetable will operate from July 1st but for the first few weeks the current timetable will remain in effect.  Classes will continue in our current gym until Thursday, June 4th.  There will be no classes for the week starting June 8th to facilitate the move and installation of new equipment, with the exception of the competition team, some of whom are in action at Rumble in Rush on June 13th.  We will then begin training in the new gym on Monday, June 15th.  Initially, the gym will be sparse as we await shipment and installation of much of our equipment, however we are hopeful of having a fully operational gym with showers, strength equipment, dressing rooms, shop etc. up and running by mid July/early August.  You may have also heard that we will be undergoing a name change to Informed Performance.  It’s with a degree of sadness that I am letting go of the old KO name as we’ve had many members and competitors train and compete under it’s banner for the last 6 years, but Informed Performance will retain the family feel we have here and I’m sure we’ll be every bit as successful in our new home with our new name.  The new system of fees and payments will not be introduced until July at the earliest so until then the same fees apply.  When the new system is introduced there will be no increase to fees for u-16s and a small increase to the senior fee schedule of just €9 per month.

K.O.            Informed Performance Schedule

Thursday June 4th- Final Classes in Glasnevin Business Centre

Monday June 8th- Friday June 12th- New gym fit out

Monday June 15th- New gym opens for classes on current timetable

Directions from current gym- Coming out of the gates, turn right onto Ballyboggan Road and continue to the right turn at the Edmunson facility.  Continue up the hill and straight through the gates. The new gym is the second unit facing you on the left.  We will have a banner for Informed Performance hanging outside on the first evening and we should have proper signage up in a few weeks.

The News Is Out; it's a brand new gym

KO Martial Arts will be undergoing some major changes in the coming months.  The gym has been growing steadily since we opened the doors of our new facility in July 2007, and the time has come to take it to the next level. I hope you'll be as excited about the coming changes as I am.

Firstly, the gym will be moving from it's existing premises to a new 700 square metre facility just down the road. To give you an idea of what that means, the current gym is approximately 110 square metres. Space will not be a problem in the new facility, which will have everything you need for training and more.

The new gym, Informed Performance, is the brainchild of myself and Will Heffernan, as we've decided to pool our collective resources and make what will be Dublin's premier MMA and sporting performance gym. Will and myself have worked long hours so far coming up with our plans for the gym and putting together the type of equipment list that most people would kill for.
